For this magazine cover, I decided to give Reader's Digest a new target market. Instead of the over-40 crowd, I figured that they needed younger readers, so they can become lifelong Reader's Digest subscribers. I made the orientation of the magazine itself a square, which is more edgy than larger 'average' publications. I distinctly wanted to target educated, artistic middle to late teenagers, who have a new sense of freedom in the world, and like to express it with photography and traveling.
